The University of Nice to show its talent in Budapest

Although the chess team of the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis, France did not attend the EUSA Chess Championship in 2017, it plans to challenge the Ural State Mining University that won the rapid team title in 2017.

 

The men chess team of the university consists of four members who have already proved their talent at various competitions.

 

Jules Brunier (Edhec Business School of Nice) won the French National Universities Team Chess Championship in 2018 and 2019. He earned 5th and 10th place in the U14 and U16 French National Youth Championships.

 

Samuel Kome Kome De Ngomba (Edhec Business School of Nice) won the French National Universities Team Chess Championship in 2019. He also earned 2nd place in the National Cameroon Chess Championship in Section B.

 

Pierre Barbotwon 2nd place in the U12, U18 and U20 French National Youth Championships. He took part in the World Youth Championships and also the World Universities Championships in Brazil last year.

 

And last but not least, Emmanuel Radoman won the French National Championships in Section B in 2018.

 

The European Universities Chess Championship will be held in Budapest between 24th and 28th July, 2019 in cooperation with the European Bridge League (EBL) and under the auspices of the European Chess Union (ECU).
