European Universities Mindsports Championship 2019 closes in Budapest

The European Universities Mindsports Championship has finally concluded on 28th July 2019 with an exciting Closing Ceremony at the University of Physical Education in Budapest, Hungary.

 

Over 140 participants representing 35 Universities from 19 countries took part in this year’s edition of the event.

 

The Women’s Rapid Team Championship title went to the Ural State Mining University (Daria Voit, Polina Shuvalova).

 

The medals and awards were presented by Mr. Liviu Matac, European University Sports Association (EUSA) Auditor and Mr. Oleksandr Sulypa, EUSA Chess Technical Delegate.

 

FINAL STANDINGS (women)

  1. Ural State Mining University (Daria Voit, Polina Shuvalova)
  2. University of Physical Education (Zsuzsa Terbe, Klára Varga)
  3. Ozyegin University (Melis Burcu Temel, Cagla Sinem Gundogan)

 

The Men’s Rapid Team Championship title also went to the Ural State Mining University (Maksim Chigaev, Alexandr Predke).

 

The medals and awards were presented by Mr. Tamás Sterbenz, Vice Rector of the University of Physical Education and Mr. Oleksandr Sulypa EUSA Chess Technical Delegate.

  1. Ural State Mining University (Maksim Chigaev, Alexandr Predke)
  2. Armenian State University of Economics (Tigran K. Harutyunian, Tigran S. Petrosyan)
  3. Lviv State University of Physical Culture (Kirill Shevchenko, Petro Golubka)

 

The Women’s Blitz Individual title went to Daria Voit (Ural State Mining University).

 

The medals and awards were presented by Mr. Tamás Sterbenz, Vice Rector of the University of Physical Education and Mr. Oleksandr Sulypa EUSA Chess Technical Delegate.

The Men’s Blitz Individual title went to Kirill Shevchenko (Lviv University).

The Bridge Team Championship title went to Kozminski University (Poland).

 

The medals and awards were presented by Mr. Géza Homonnay, the President of the Hungarian Bridge Association and Mr. Harry van de Peppel, EUSA Bridge Technical Delegate.
